Digital Prototyping Forum 2008 Review

Deutsch:

Hallo Zusammen,

Hello Everyone,
what a rush! -and done! Yesterday we had here in Germany the Digital Prototyping Form in the past it was called Inventor Forum. It took place in Fulda a very nice town with a impressive historic town center. It was great to be there and to run two session on Inventor one about drawing creation and collaboration based on the exchange between Inventor and DWF. The second session was about my almost loved topic Inventor Studio.

You may want to know high was the level of attendees, around 1200 attendees came to hear about interesting topics and tips about Inventor. My personal favorite Sessiontopics have been Alias Studio, Showcase, Dynamic simulation and the session about the upcoming Inventor product kind, called Inventor Automation Professional. I really enjoyed attending this specific session, because  in my early days as I was working in the engineering department and I was integrated in the development of a product configuration software based on AutoCAD 9, for floor-free conveyor systems. -Looking back to this days from now, it seams to me this has been the IT-Stone Age. Good Times, at least! 🙂

I am not the only one who enjoyed the event, I got feedback from the attendees that they realy liked this event and all of them came to the same point, that it is realy needed to attend an event lik this, because this is really helpful in finding the right future decisions and enforces everybody to be prepared for the endevors in the next upcoming project.  Also very important was that Jay Tedaschi (Adesk) came over to talk about the future of Inventor, so that we all understand better in which sections Inventor will get new functionality.

Oh by the way, AUGI was also present at the event, attendees that registered during the even have the oportunity to win a price. These prices came form the AUGIde Sponsors NVIDIA and 3DConnexion and some others gerat Sponsors. Every new member also got a welcome present, the AUGI 2008 Handout CD with the MSD handouts for the last two European AUGI Events like the first German CADCAMP in Hamburg and the AUGI Design Academy 2008 London.

When You now think: “ Hmmm, I would like to attend an event like this!“ your chance is right there AU2008.
