I have to say it again „Congratulations!“

    

As soon as it begans it comes to the end. 🙂
To be honest, it actually started very slow, but then it catches up speeds like a race care! What I mean? The AU2008 certification quiz, I received over 1250 emails with right answers, but as you know only the first 6 senders with right answers and that didn’t attend AU2008 had a chance to win the 125$ voucher. 

Befor I anounce the winners I want to say:

 „Thank you, thank you very much, for your participation, to all of you!“

Blogs sind eine gute und meistens aktuelle Informationsquelle!
Man könnte sie auch als Fachmagazin bezeichnen, je nachdem wie der Betreiber des Blogs sich ausrichtet.

Die verschiedenen Blogs zum Thema Autodesk Produkte sind meiner Meinung nach eine echt gute Informationsquelle, sehr sachlich und lösungsorientiert!

-Aber, vergessen wir nicht, dass es nicht jedem liegt den verschiedenen postings zu folgen. Die gute alte Welt der papierbasierenden Magazine ist hier nicht nur eine Alternative sondern auch etwas zum Anfassen und Offline-Lesen.

Das ist auch einer der Gründe, warum ich mehrfach im Jahr für Inventor-Magazin und AutoCAD-Magazin schreibe, so wie gerade geschehen in der aktuellen Inventor-Magazinausgabe 01/09. Freundlicherweise wurde mein Artikel zum Thema Skelettmodellierung in die aktuelle Leseprobe mit übernommen, neben dem Review zum DP-Forum in Fulda (Oktober 2008) und Showcase 2009 Features (Beide übrigens sehr interessant).

    Also viel Spaß beim lesen! 🙂

ich wurde heute nach Environments für Showcase gefragt! Für alle die mit Showcase beginnen kann es interessant sein fertige Sets zu nutzen und gerade in den vergangenen Wochen wurde an dieser Stelle viel neues hinzugefügt. Des Weiteren lassen Sie mich nicht ergänzen, dass es in nächster Zukunft hier noch weitere Szenenaufbauten geben wird die Industrieumgebungen darstellen wie Werkshallen usw., um die Maschinenbauer unter den Showcase Usern zu unterstützen. Also Schauen Sie mal wieder bei der AliasDesign community vorbei und sehen was für Sie dabei ist.

this morning I have been asked: „Where do I find Showcase Environments for download?“
There is a good source on the Internet the AliasDesign Community. In the download area you will find some great scenes for your presentation. Over the last weeks there has been some extending with very nice and interesting sets. Over the next week or months you will also find here some environments that are more Industry related like shop-floor scenes. So check back from time to time. 🙂

from past posts you know I am a big supporter of the Autodesk Certification, at AUGI Design Academy 2008 we prorovide certification voucher for over 250 attendees (again, big thank you to Tomas Karlson Adsk EMIA for this).  At Autodesk University 2008 there was a nother oportunity to get certified and over 600 attendees took the certification exam and get certified. 

You may think now: “ Oh, what a mess that I didn’t had the chance to attend AU2008, would be great to get certified!“

Here is your chance to get certified! I’ve been given 6 vouchers for a free Autodesk certification for my Blog readers from US.
 

 

This raises the question:“ What is needed to get the voucher?“ -not much just a quick quiz, send me the answers and you get the voucher (first send first served)!

Another upcoming question mind be: “ Is it Inventor certification exam only?“

-No, it is for all existing Exams like Revit Architecture, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Autodesk Inventor.  
The voucher is is valid until May 31, 2009 at participating Autodesk Authorized Training Centers in north America.
So, send me the answers and save $125 (normally charged for taking the exam). 

Questions to answer: Who was the speaker of the AutoCAD certification preparation class at AU2008? Session Number and description of Babara Bowens Sessions at AU 2008? What is Jay Tedeschi’s position at Autodesk?

• Write a little report how it was (2 to 3 lines, not more)
• Only sendings till the 23.12.2008 will be qualified to get the voucher
• When the 6 voucher are assigned, no other opportunity to request a voucher from me

Hi all,
beside to my own session about AutoCAD Mechanical I was Lab-assistant for some sessions. One of this sessions was the Lab from Chris Hall about Autodesk Showcase ML111-2L, this was a great session by the way. Chris was speaking about ambient shadows, behaviors and using bump maps. Please find the handout from this insincfull session below. Oh, don’t miss this, Chris told me, that there will be a hot-fix release for showcase around the 15th of December. With this hot-fix you get more abilities for importing Inventor Models, you will have the ability to assign Showcase Material to a single face of a solid model. Watch out something is on his way. 🙂

Hallo zusammen,
neben meiner eigenen Session über AutoCAD Mechanical hatte ich auch die Aufgabe bei der einen oder Lab-Session die Teilnehmer zu unterstützen (bei der AU nennt man das Lab-Assistent). So war ich Assistent von Chris Hall (Adsk) bei seiner Autodesk Showcase Session. Diese Session behandelte die verschiedensten Themen wie zum Beispiel wie erzeugt man ambiant shadows und wie kan man Bump-Maps verwenden oder wie erstellt man Animationen (behaviors). Anbei das Handout für alle Showcase Anwender, ach übrigens mitte des Monats wird ein Hotfix für den Inventor import veröffentlicht mit dem man dann in Showcase einzelnen Flächen ein Material zuordnen kann. Also, halten Sie die Augen auf, da kommt was! 🙂
